CytoDyn Plans to Move Forward with CytoFeline
May 16th, 2012  Biotechnology company CytoDyn Inc. (OTCQB:CYDY), which focuses on development of antibodies, has announced that it has produced enough CytoFeline to proceed with the next stage of the antibody’s development.  CytoFeline is a monoclonal antibody developed to treat Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).  CytoDyn has selected Colorado State University to continue research and lead efficacy trials of CytoFeline.

IDEXX To Offer Allergy Testing
May 14th, 2012  IDEXX Laboratories (IDXX) has announced that it has entered into an agreement with GREER, a provider of immunotherapy products for humans and animals.  Allergy testing will now be available on blood samples sent to IDEXX and immunotherapy will be developed by GREER.  The service will be available to canine, feline and equine patients.

Heska Reports Q1 2012 Earnings
May 10th, 2012  Heska Corporation (HSKA) reported Q1 earnings of $0.11/share, which is down from Q1 2011 which came in at $0.17/share.  Q1 revenue came in at $19.2 million versus $19.5 million a year ago.  Heska does report that gross margin increased 400 basis points over a year ago to 46.5%.

MWI Reports Strong Q2
May 3rd, 2012  MWI Veterinary Supply (MWIV) reported Q2 2012 EPS of $1.04, beating analyst’s consensus of $0.96/share.  Revenue was up 38.3% to to $507.2 million, easily beating estimates of $465 million.  MWIV also raised guidance for 2012 to revenues of $2.0-20.25 billion from $1.90-1.95 billion.
